Bast Fibre Technologies Inc. (BFT), the maker of sero hemp fiber, announced that it has closed a major strategic financing with Ahlström Capital of Finland. BFT will immediately begin work to expand fiber manufacturing capacity at its U.S.-flagship facility in Lumberton, NC, and its EU-facility near Düsseldorf, Germany. This financing will enable BFT to produce over 10,000 metric tons of sero hemp fiber per year by 2023 and up to 50,000 metric tons per year by 2026.
