Ontex Group NV continues to provide recyclable diapers to support Woosh, a Belgian startup that aims to make diaper recycling a reality in Ontex’ home country.
Woosh now delivers recyclable, disposable diapers and collects used diapers from more than 200 day care centers in Belgium, which together care for more than 5200 children and plans to expand the service to more than 1000 day care centers by 2024. Together with waste companies Woosh aims to set up the first diaper recycling facility in Belgium.
In other news, Suominen has strengthened its position as a frontrunner in sustainable nonwovens by launching Hydraspun Circula, the market’s first ever nonwoven made with recycled paper.
Hydraspun Circula is biodegradable, plastic-free and can be used in multiple applications. The product was created in cooperation with Codi Group, one of Europe’s leading wet wipe producers.
