Two of Indorama Ventures’ Hygiene Division manufacturing facilities have achieved ISCC Plus Certification. FiberVisions' polypropylene fiber manufacturing site in Varde, Denmark and Avgol’s Uzlovaya, Russia spunbond nonwovens production site have satisfied audits related to traceability and the reasonable use of biomaterials.
ISCC Plus is a sustainability certification program for bio-based and recycled raw materials for all markets and sectors not regulated as transportation fuels under the European Renewable Energy Directive or Fuel Quality Directive.
In other news, Ahlstrom-Munksjö has successfully completed the acquisition of a 60% stake in Chinese decor paper producer Minglian New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. and forms a joint venture which comprises a state-of-the-art plant in Xingtai, Hebei Province, China. By combining Minglian with its existing decor business, Ahlstrom-Munksjö creates a global leader in decor papers with improved cost competitiveness and strong presence in Europe, Americas and Asia.
