After months of installation and trials, Fibertex Personal Care is starting up its second print line at its Asheboro, NC-based print facility. The company announced this investment in September 2020. At the same time, the company announced it would add a new spunmelt line at its Malaysian facility.
Fibertex Personal Care, though its Innowo Print business, was the first company to offer print directly on lightweight nonwovens for the hygiene industry. The company expanded this business into the U.S. in 2018 with the addition of the site in Asheboro. In addition to the U.S.-site, the company has print lines in Germany and Malaysia. The unit was founded as a joint venture in 2007. Fibertex Personal Care acquired sole ownership in 2014.
Fibertex Personal Care is the global market leader in this field and the expansion is based on an increased demand for printed nonwovens.
