My Choice Family Care, a managed care organization in Wisconsin, is implementing Medline’s Continence Management Program to ensure care teams can provide high quality care to their members.
My Choice Family Care serves over 8500 members throughout nine counties in the state. Nearly 80% of those members live at home. This new agreement with Medline, a global manufacturer and distributor serving the healthcare industry, is designed to meet the individual needs of members and keep them in their home longer by educating their care managers on proper continence care and arming them with high quality products. Care teams benefit from in-services hosted by their dedicated post-acute care sales representative, incontinence supply sample bags, toolkits that include product sizing tools and patient education designed to help the member and their family understand incontinence.
“While there is not a uniform approach for managing incontinence, many caregivers do not know what size products to use on members or how often patients should be changed. Medline is committed to providing My Choice Family Care with a unique program that will drive clinical standardization and help their members live as independently as possible in their community,” says Lucas Duncan, regional vice president of sales for the homecare division, Medline.
“My Choice Family Care is pleased to explore new options for better care for our members,” says Don Sobczak, My Choice Family Care contract administrator. “We have a great partnership with Medline and are happy to work with them on providing good information to Care Managers, Nurses and Members.”
