EDANA announced the seventh edition of Filtrex Europe, the leading nonwovens filter media conference, which will be held in Geneva, April 5-6, 2017, for the first time in conjunction with INDEX, the world’s largest nonwovens exhibition, and opened the call for papers for the program of speakers.
Since its inception, Filtrex has strengthened its position as the leading platform and meeting-point for the filtration industry across Europe, Asia and India, and EDANA invites papers for the 2017 European conference on the following topics:
Increasing awareness for individuals and for authorities of the need to control our immediate environment, be it at home, in the workplace or while travelling means that filters, especially those made with nonwoven components play an essential role in our everyday lives. Helping to promote the benefits of and demand for nonwoven filter media across the globe is a key area of support that EDANA provides to the industry, and the Filtrex conference will provide manufacturers and companies along the supply chain with valuable insight and innovative ideas about their sector.
“Combining the high-level Filtrex conference and tabletops, which we, like all sector professionals value, with the opportunity for global networking and cross-fertilization of technologies and ideas brought about by INDEX 17, the leading global exhibition for the nonwovens industry, will make these two days in Geneva a unique and powerful experience for all participants,” says Ulrich Hornfeck, senior partner at Sandler Nonwovens. “As an exhibitor and as a member of the INDEX 17 Advisory Board, I am very much looking forward to seeing the positive response to this great initiative.”
Filter media, including all applications, are one of the fastest growing end-uses of nonwovens globally and in each continent (over 9% average annual growth both before and after the 2008 financial crisis).
“Like its previous editions, Filtrex 2017 will attract expert attendees from producers of all types of filter media, filter makers, raw material suppliers, test and research institutes, making this conference the only European filtration event of its kind in 2017. It is an event not to be missed, and we are expecting high level speakers to confirm the leading status of the event for the whole filtration industry,” says Joerg Sievert, chairman of EDANA’s Filtration Working Group and COO of Freudenberg Filtration Technologies.
Filtrex also includes a tabletop display providing producers, converters of filter media and equipment suppliers with the opportunity to showcase their offer, to keep customers and potential clients up-to-date with their products and services, and/or to direct them to their stands in the adjacent INDEX 17 exhibition halls.
