Materials designer Techmer PM announced SHYFT Design + Innovation 2016, a unique event the company created as part of its continuing efforts to promote collaboration and engagement among all members of the materials design supply chain.
SHYFT Design + Innovation 2016 will be held March 21, the day before Techmer PM’s Fibertech event, at The Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, TN. Designers, business leaders, policymakers, and others focused on advancing design and innovation are encouraged to attend this half-day event as the SHYFT community forms in the Southeast.
SHYFT Design + Innovation 2016 will include speakers who are design and technical leaders, including Richard Clarke, global vice president advanced innovation DTC of Nike, and Jay Rogers, CEO of Local Motors. In addition, attendees will participate in a break-out session led by the speakers. The session will focus on Southeast design and designers in order to create a regional platform of innovation.
“We are very excited about the launch of the SHYFT community and its formal introduction at the March event,” says David Turner, vice president of sales and marketing. “As a company with deep roots in materials design and technical advancement, we see SHYFT as an opportunity to support a substantive, vibrant industry group that will foster connections and accelerate innovation in the Southeast.
