Germany-based global technology group Freudenberg will be participating in Hall 10 at Auto Expo 2016 (Components), February 4-7. The Group supplies chemical specialties, filtration products, nonwovens and seals to all major automotive OEMs in India through its subsidiaries with a presence of four R&D centers and fourteen production sites.
Freudenberg Group companies participating in Auto Expo include Freudenberg Performance Materials (FPM), Freudenberg Filtration Technologies (FFT), and Klüber Lubrication along with OKS and Chem-Trend.
With more than 300 different product groups, Freudenberg is a key partner for the global automotive industry. In 2014, the Group’s total global sales amounted to Rs. 56,860 crore or €7,039.1 million ($7.6 billion), of which more than 25% were generated in the automotive business. Freudenberg is present at various stages of car manufacturing – from engine mold release to the first fill lubricants applied to the starter motor or the filters that ensure the car interior stays fresh.
“The Indian car manufacturing market has evolved over the last few years with a wide range of cars on offer – including electric and premium segments. As an international technology company, supplying leading edge products and solutions, we believe we are the right partner for a multitude of automotive requirements,” says Dr. Jörg Matthias Großmann, regional representative India for the Freudenberg Group.
Freudenberg’s stand at Auto Expo is part of the German Pavilion in Hall 10. Freudenberg Performance Materials will be showcasing specialty printed nonwoven headliner roofing along with nonwovens for auto interiors. FPM has launched Evolon, a lightweight microfilament nonwoven which is also suitable for a diversified range of applications: anti–mite bedding, printing media for signs and advertising, cleaning cloths, sound absorption, technical packaging, sun protection and window treatment, coating and synthetic leather, and many more. General Motors (GM) is using Evolon in its 2016 Malibu mid-size sedan.
Freudenberg Filtration Technologies will be presenting its micronAir filters. The filters, which are used by many major OEMs throughout India, help keep polluted air from entering the car interior. Also, on display will be Combi filters that are designed to eliminate pollutant particles as well as harmful gases and odors. These filters are also used by major OEMs worldwide.
With rising pollution levels and stringent requirements in the road transport sector, Freudenberg works closely with manufacturers to comply with these needs while also supporting development of products and solutions that enhance end customers’ automotive experience.
