Klapper named Rieter chairman

Will assume position next month.

Norbert Klapper will take over as CEO of Rieter Group and will also head up the business group spun yarn systems. The current head of the business Peter Gnagi is stepping down at year end by his own request. At the same time, Erwin Stoller will relinquish his dual position as executive chairman but will remain chairman of the board.

After graduating in mechanical engineering and receiving a PhD in economics, Klapper received internaional experience in the machinery and plant engineering industry, particulary in markets important to Rieter. He previously served as exectuvie vice president Voith Turbo.
