Low and Bonar acquires Texiplast

Low and Bonar has formed an agreement to acquire Slovakian firm Texiplast for €18.9 million. Texiplast makes high strength woven, knitted and nonwoven geosynthetic products serving the civil engineering market. It produces a full range of geosynthetics, based on PES, PVA, PP and PA, designed for the construction and reconstruction of roads, highways, airports, railways, ports, commercial buildings and premises and for erosion control. The acquisition will help Low & Bonar expand into Texiplast's key Centerl and Eastern European markets.
