EDANA, the international association representing nonwovens and related materials, has appointed Mikael Staal Axelsen of Fibertex Personal Care, and Jelle Westertep of PGI, as officers, effective from July 1, 2013. They join the chair, Patricia Featherstone (RKW), vice-co-chairpersons Gerd Ries (Johnson & Johnson), and Jean-Marie Becker (Suominen Nonwovens) and treasurer Paul Eevers (Unilever) in serving to support the association and representation of its nearly 240 member companies.
This addition comes as part of a new organizational set-up, to reinforce the group whose role is to prepare and implement board decisions, develop the strategy and provide recommendations to the board for discussion and approval.
The officers are part of the 2013 board of governors for 2013, which, following the election of 5 new members, is the most international board the organization has ever assembled, with representatives from across Europe, the Middle East, the U.S. and Asia, and whose mission is to guide EDANA’s work and approve its policies, priorities and programs.
