Construction on new plant to begin later this year..

Diaper maker DSG International has outlined plans to build a new plant in Malaysia. The investment would include a two-story office, warehouse and manufacturing plant. DSG purchased the land in March.

Based in Hong Kong with a subsidiary in Thailand, DSG sells diapers under the Fitte, Pet Pet, Baby Love, Baby Joy, Dispo123, HandyTM and Certainty ibrands in the Americas, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. In 2010, global diaper sales were reported at about $100 million.
