Falken expands EU capacity

Investment to increase success of biodegradable wipe.

Falken Industries has expanded production of its biodegradable product line in Europe, increasing capacity from 8000 to 20,000 metric tons per year. At the same time, Falken is ramping up compounding capacity for derivative products in the Clean Plus branded Eco-pledge certified biodegradable product conceptions.

"We are already successful in the market with our unique biodegradable wet wipe productions and the related innovations that have derived from the policy accent placed on biodegradability. The larger production capacities will enhance our position significantly," says communication manager Manuel Garcia. "The capacity expansion will also enable us to respond even more effectively to our customers' wishes."

FLKI wipe and chemical conceptions are in use throughout the world and the new collection is fully biodegradable under industrial composting conditions in accordance with International Chemical Standards for ISO, DIN, JIS & EU Directives. "FLKI's continuing success lies in large part on its international research, and the company's well known policy to honor individuals and innovative projects that are especially committed to establishing a working culture of diversity within all operations," adds Garcia.
