EDANA, a global association and voice of the nonwovens and related industries, has announced the Association’s program of events scheduled for the remainder of 2011 and for 2012, and an overview of confirmed activities for 2013 and 2014.
“Our members and companies within the industry have been clear in their desire for high-quality events that address specific sectors of the nonwovens and related industries. Our program of events meets this need, not only across greater Europe, but in those developing markets that do not
have independent bodies to represent the industry. Additionally, we recognize the demands made on individual resources, and we are seeking to provide our members and partners within the industry to be able to plan their event calendars as far ahead as possible,” says Abby Bailey. EDANA's marketing and communications director.
During INDEX11, companies supplying raw materials or products to the various sectors renewed their call for targeted events, particularly for those high-volume sectors, such as personal care, medical and filtration, but also called for events that were organized close to their operational bases, in markets across Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Where supported, EDANA is committed to deliver events that match the
industry demand, matching its expectations as the various sectors continue to grow and change.
EDANA’s experience in organizing high-level dialogues across the supply chain and its expertise in product stewardship is highlighted at Outlook, the leading Personal Care conference, which will take place in Barcelona, Spain, September 26-28, 2012. This sector, one of the strongest in the nonwovens market, will be complemented by the newly initiated Outlook Asia in early 2013, bringing the expertise EDANA has delivered for more than 10 years to new markets.
Outlook Asia will be hosted by various Asian cities, starting in March 2013 with New Delhi, India, in cooperation with BCH.
Bringing 2011 to a close, EDANA once again joins with Business Coordination House (BCH) to deliver the Filtrex Asia conference and exhibition. Returning to New Delhi, India, the conference will focus on new developments, applications and trends within the filtration industry.
EDANA also returns to Dubai with the Middle East and North African Nonwovens Symposium. The conference and exhibition will run from February 14-15, 2012
In 2012, while EDANA continues its core European events and activities with the Nonwoven Research Academy, Outlook and Filtrex conferences, the Association will also reach out to developing markets, with an expanded edition of its nonwoven symposium. Held in Istanbul, Turkey, in May 2012, the Eurasia Nonwovens Symposium will deliver the topics and information on
issues of importance for nonwoven producers and converters across Europe and western Asia.
Additional information about upcoming events will be published at www.edana.org, with location details, programs and delegate lists updated as available.
