August 30, 2011

Plant will serve paper, nonwovens industries domestically.

A.Celli is targeting growth in China with a new manufacturing plant dedicated to supplying tissue paper and nonwovens machinery exclusively for the domestic market.

"China is a very important market for A.Celli," says Mauro Celli, president of A.Celli Paper. “The new facilities allow us to provide a more timely and cost-efficient service to our customers in China and Asia."

The new 2000-square-meter plant in the Jin Shan Industrial Zone has 15 employees and space to expand to 6000 square meters. The Shanghai plant will have manufacturing facilities comparable to the Italian facilities including workshop, offices and canteen; it will also serve as a hub for field services in China.

President A.Celli Shanghai Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Calvin Liu, initial sponsor of the China manufacturing initiative comments: "The new plant will bring a significant and long-term benefit to each of our customers and our Chinese employees. Innovative technology, faster delivery times and less expensive freight prices will be a win-win for the group's customers throughout China.”
