Sumitomo Seika Makes SAP Investment

20,000 tons added in France.

Sumitomo Seika will expand its superabsorbent polymer capacity in France to meet growing demand from customers. The investment will add 27,000 tons to its current 20,000-ton operation. It will be complete around spring 2013.

Sumitomo Seika acquired the French operation from Arkema, France in 2008. The company’s European operation, established in 2007, is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
