H&V files suit alleging brand name infringement for Alphastar

On November 5, 2010, Hollingsworth &Vose, through its subsidiary Hollingsworth &Vose Air Filtration Ltd. served a patent infringement lawsuit against ECN Industries, Inc. The suit, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges that ECN's electrostatic air filtration products sold under the "Alphastar" brand name infringe H&V's U.S.Patent No. 6,623,548. The suit seeks damages and an injunction against future infringement.
