Rigid Lens II Passes Review for GreenerPackage.com

November 1, 2010

Prime Label & Screen Inc., manufacturer of the Rigid Lens II, an innovative flexible packaging closure for pouches and flatpacks, has passed the Third Party Review for the GreenerPackage.com searchable database of sustainable packaging materials for their sustainability claims of Source Reduced and Shipping Efficiency.

This distinction allows Prime Label & Screens database entry for the Rigid Lens II to be visible within the Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Sustainable Packaging Modeling software enables buyers and specifiers to conduct what-if scenarios with sustainable packaging alternatives right within the modeling software.

Rigid Lens II alleviates the need for molded fitments for package access and closure. Normally the Rigid Lens II closure will result in a 74% reduction in plastic weight versus a comparable molded fitment. Its flatter package profile will also result in more efficient packing and shipping requirements, according to the company.
