Companhia Providencia Posts Revenue

Companhia Providencia’s second quarter net revenue was $66 million, an increase of 22.9% compared with the same period last year, largely due to the increase in the volume of sales, realigned prices and the currency translation effect.

Accumulated net income was $4 million in the second quarter of 2010, an increase of 58.8% compared to the first quarter of 2010.

During the second quarter of 2010 sales of nonwovens rose 21.7% compared with the same period last year. Sales of nonwovens grew 5.3% during the second quarter 2010 compared to the first quarter 2010.
