This morning's Filtration conference session began with a keynote address from Richard Eastman, managing director ofMilwaukee, WI-based Robert W. Baird &Company. In “The State of the Economy, the Stock Market, and Implications for the Industrial/Filtration Sectors,” Mr. Eastman presented anoverall stock market outlook of the current economy and its impact on the filtration industry.
"From a macroecoomic standpoint, we are in a more stable condition and sentiment has turned more positive,” said Mr. Eastman, told attendees at the keynote session on day two of the conference.
Even more optimistic, Mr. Eastmans said he expects sales growth going forward to exceed the gross domestic product and this growth will come from areas such as healthcare and mortar.
