Beta LaserMike, a global manufacturer of precision measurement and control systems is unveiling LaserSpeed, a non-contact length measurement device that is designed to be 20 to 40 times more accurate than contact methods. BetaLaserMike claims that since there is non-contact there is no slippage. LaserSpeed is permanently calibrated, which keeps the production line up and running longer. LaserSpeed is also used in the post cut role to provide the manufacturer with a quality inspection of each length. The LaserSpeed series of measurement gauges were designed to be drop in replacements for any type of mechanical encoder.
