Unicharm’s Sales Rise

Unicharm announced sales results for the period from April 2008 to March 2009. Sales rose 4.4% from the previous year to $3.6 billion. In terms of regional sales, Japan tallied $2.3 billion, Asia recorded $834 million, and Europe/Middle East accounted for $474 million. In the finished goods segment, baby diapers accounted for $15 billion in sales, while feminine hygiene sanitary products tallied $733 million.
