May 28, 2009

New Chinese line combines knowledge from both French companies.

Rieter Nonwovens Systems announced that it has sold a new spunlace line to China’s Zhejiang Shaoxing County Zhuangjie Nonwovens this month.

The new line was sold in collaboration with NSC nonwoven. With the acquisition of this complete spunlace line, Zhejiang Shaoxing County Zhuangjie Nonwovens will have three spunlace lines in operation from Rieter. This new line is fitted with NSC cards for web forming and the innovative JETlaceAvantage from Rieter for the hydroentanglement of the web. This spunlace line can produce 5000 tons per year with a fabric weight ranging from 30 to 100 gpsm. The line will be in operation in the third quarter of 2009. Zhejiang Shaoxing County Zhuangjie Nonwovens is a major player in China for the production of spunlace fabrics dedicated to the hygiene market.

According to Rieter and NSC, two of France's leading textile machinery companies, the new line configuration combines two NSCcarding machines Axcess CA21 with Rieters' JetlaceAvantage, which together provide leading technical and economical results.
