Elmarco, Oerlikon Neumag Focus On Acoustics

Two companies combine forces in nanofibers.

Elmarco and Oerlikon Neumag Austria have signed a cooperative agreement for the production of nanofiber nonwovens. The agreement follows a 2007 partnership whereby the two companies formed a joint development of lines, processes and products with a focus on acoustic applications. The advantages of nanofiber nonwoens lie in a considerable increase of the surface

Since signing the agreement, the two companies have modified and optimized machines and processes for nanofiber applications, and the entire production processs has been brought to market maturity. This success was preceded by extensive trials at Oerlikon Neumag Austria’s testing center and at Elmarco.
