Ramkumar Awarded for Work in India

TTU Supervisor has been involved in Indian TT market for five years.

Seshadri Ramkumar who supervises the Nonwovens and Advanced Materials Laboratory at Texas Tech University and serves as co-chairman of the INDA-India committee has been playing an important role in the the promotion, growth and international linkages of technical textiles in India for the past five years. His enthusiasm and tireless efforts were recently recognized at the International Conference on “Performance Wear Functional Textiles –PFT 2008“, July 24-25, 2008 conducted at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, India.
Dr Seshadri Ramkumar was awarded the Technical Textiles Accomplishment Award for his nonwovens research and promotion of technical textiles field. The award was presented by G. Rangaswamy, chief patron, Performance Wear and Functional Textiles conference and managing trustee, PSG College of Technology in the inaugural function of PFT 2008 on July 24, 2008. Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar and his associate has recently released a very useful report on growth of technical textile which is reports the growth to be 13.3% per year.
