Rockline To Close Netherlands Facility

September 8, 2008

New Boonevill site to serve North America; Europe supplied from U.K.

Wipes manufacturer Rockline Industries is realigning its European manufacturing in reponse to the establishment of a 112,000 square meter wet wipe facility that opened in Booneville, AR, in April 2008. The new facility will create materials for the North American market once supplied through Rockline’s European operations. Moving forward, Rockline’s North American customers will be supplied through Boonville while the European business will be served by Rockline’s Redditch, U.K. facility.

Wet wipe production in Zalbommel, The Netherlands, will cease in 2009. The original prupose of the facility was to service both European and North Americancustomers. To support   growth of its Western European business as well as possible expansion into Eastern Europe, Rockline is evaluating manufacturing partners with the intentions of moving selected product lines closer to that region, according to executives.
