Unitika Ups Output in Thailand

Deal will raise spunbond PET capacity 10% next year.

According to reports, Unitika is expanded capacity of its polyester spunbond facility in Thailand 10%. The new capacity is expected to come onstream at  Teijin Unitika Spunbond Thailand in early 2008. The Thai operation is a joint venture between Unitika and Teijin Ltd.

In line with the project, the Japanese company has formed an export team in its spunbond fabric business unit to further explore foreign markets since the domestic market is growing at just about 3% per year, according to reports..
