Kasbar To Add Third Needlepunch Line

Capacity will increase to 18 million pounds.

After completing an expansion on one of its two needlepunch lines which increased output by 15%, Kasbar National Industries has announced a plan to add a third needlepunch line to its Columbia, TN facility. The new 5.3 meter wide line will have an annual capacity of eight million pounds and will bring Kasbar National’s total annual needlepunch capacity to 18 million pounds.  The new line will be in operation by the first quarter of 2008.  
   
Based in Broomall, PA, Kasbar National Industries, Inc. manufactures needlepunch nonwovens, highloft fiberfill and quilted fabrics and converts synthetic woven piece goods.  All manufacturing is done in one 207,000 square foot facility in Columbia.
