Oerlikon Neumag will exhibit its complete nonwovens technology portfolio at Techtextil 2007 next month in Frankfurt, Germany. This portfolio includes the Neumag Spunbond Technology, the J&M Meltblown Technology (formerly Nordson Fiber Systems), the M&J Airlaid Technology, the FOR Carding Technology, the Fehrer Needle Punching and Aerodynamic Carding Technology, the Autefa Crosslapping Technology as well as the Kortec Festooning Technology. In addition to the traditional machine supply of the mentioned product brands, Oerlikon Neumag offers turnkey lines for airlaid, spunbond and carding as well as customized solutions consisting of different web forming processes. One focus will be the new improved Oerlikon Neumag Carding solutions from bale opening up to finished products which base on the well known and worldwide approved technologies of FOR in preparation and carding, Fehrer in airlay and needlepunching and Autefa in crosslapping.
Oerlikon Neumag’s outstanding experience and know-how in
engineering has been consequently transferred to the carding business and an extra engineering department was established beginning of this year. For carding projects, the engineering services today cover all areas for the formation and continuous operation of turnkey production plants, including binding guarantees for the performance of the production and the product quality.
By integrating all machines and components into a total quality concept, Oerlikon Neumag’s carding lines enable customers to optimize all relevant quality parameters like uniformity, MD/CD, surface properties and others, in a total plant perspective and not on a machine to machine basis any more. With the help of modern information and visualization technology, the optimization process is made easy and reliable for the total plant operation.
Based on a number of technical novelties e.g. a new feed chute
design, more flexible Webmax profiling and improved and new plant operation tools, the achievement of outstanding productivity and quality levels are possible in all kinds of applications like paper maker felts, automotive, geotextiles, filtration or other technical felts.
Oerlikon Neumag offers improved consulting competence
regarding new applications, qualities and materials. In the modern carding competence Center in Linz, all major carding processes can be shown on two production lines, and a third line for spunlace
applications is currently in start-up phase. With this unique setup of technologies, not only the latest machines can be demonstrated but also new products and processes can be developed together with customers.
