Lenzing Acquires Massen Nonwovens Technology

Effective this month, Austrian machinery specialist Lenzing Instruments has taken over the nonwovens inspection technology of Massen, Konstanz, Germany. Lenzing supplies testing instruments for the fiber, textile and nonwovens industries, ranging from laboratory testing instruments to online process monitoring systems. For its part, Massen specializes in the in-line surface inspection of complex pattern surfaces. As part of its strategy to focus on colored surface inspection, Massen has transferred its Nonwovens Inspector technology to Lenzing Instruments. The company’s latest innovation in the field of nonwovens, the Nonwovens Inspector is an online process monitoring solution based on high resolution digital cameras and lighting. According to the companies, Lenzing Instruments and Massen plan to continue to strengthen their long-term partnership.
