Rieter Unveils Meltblown System

April 27, 2007

Machinery specialist Rieter Textile Systems chose IDEA07 in Miami, FL as the venue for launching its most recent innovation in melt blown technology. The brand new system offers excellent basis weight distribution, very narrow fiber size distribution, extremely fine filaments, high specific throughput, independence to raw materials and excellent reproducibility. Other advantages to Rieter’s Advanced Segmented Melt Distribution are forced, even distribution of melt, a well balanced and insensitive system and a wide operating window. The low maintenance system features top-loading spinnerets, easy and robust handling and stable production. The system’s variable width capability is expected to benefit filter producers. Fabric samples were available at the show from the company’s brand new pilot line, which came onstream last week.
