Fiberweb will consolidate its two North American units into one unit, Fiberweb Americas, and has tapped Dave Rousse to serve as president of that unit. Mr. Rousse joined Fiberweb in late 2005 as president of Hygiene/Medical Americas.
“Last week Fiberweb announced the sale of its Hygiene wipes business to Ahlstrom Corporation and highlighted that this significantly changes the scale and complexity of our US-based business,” said Daniel Dayan, CEO of Fiberweb. “As a result, we have an opportunity to change our structure to accelerate implementation of our strategy and to reduce cost. We remain focused on growing in industrial specialties and investing in attractive segments of the hygiene nonwovens business and this change will enable us to optimize use of our considerable technical and commercial resources, both in North America and around the globe.”
Derek Anderson, formerly president, Fiberweb Industrial Americas, has resigned from Fiberweb, effective immediately.
