March 21, 2007

Plans are underway at Polish nonwovens producer Lentex to build a second spunlace line. With production start-up slated for the end of 2007, the turnkey line will be manufactured by Asselin-Thibeau and will include spunlace equipment from Rieter Perfojet. Expected to target technical applications such as automotive and filtration products, the new line will also feature ProDyn technology and a new BattCruise system. The line also includes the first Excelle card and the second EasyWinder to be used in Poland. The system is designed to produce lightweight nonwoven fabrics at a continuous linear speed with even overlaps and straight edges, increasing crosslapping quality, evenness and productivity.
