Metered hot melt adhesive delivery improves add-on precision and minimizes adhesive usage during steady or fluctuating line speeds, and production ramping up or down. Stations help improve pattern consistency and quality by controlling pressure drops that can cause adhesive hammerheads, inconsistent add-on rates per product, and burn-through on heat-sensitive substrates.
Stations are available with one or two single- or dual-stream metering pumps and motors. Linking multiple stations together adds pumping capacity and reduces total hose length, while minimizing adhesive degradation, downtime and service. Integrated transducers enable close monitoring of adhesive temperature and pressures via the melter control system or an auxiliary control module. A pressure relief valve restricts output pressures to safe levels.
