Novamelt Plans U.S. Expansion

German pressure-sensitive adhesives specialist Novamelt is expanding production into the U.S. through a joint venture with Jowat, a manufacturer of industrial adhesives for the wood manufacturing, paper and packaging and textile and automotive industries.The company will build a new manufacturing plant on the Jowat Corporation premises near High Point, NC. The plant is expected to be complete in March.
Novamelt is a leading manufacturer of environmentally friendly, pressure-sensitive adhesives and 100% solid PSA, which are sold under the Novamelt PS and Noveamelt RC brands. These adhesives are used for self-adhesive labels, adhesive tapes, hygiene and medical self-adhesive products as well as self-adhesives for industrial usage. Meanwhile, Jowat has 30 years of experience in the U.S. market.
