Eastman Announces Expansion

November 9, 2005

Eastman Chemical Company will expand production of hydrogentated hydrocarbon resin by 25% at its Middelburg, The Netherlands facility. The planned completion date for the expansion is September 2006. "Throughout the world, demand for Eastman hydrocarbon resins has increased significantly," said Rene Smit, General Manager Adhesives & Polymers EMEA. “Regalite hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins produced in Eastman's Middelburg facility meet the growing need for high quality tackifier resins that are compatible with a wide range of adhesive polymers. This expansion builds further on the success of our Regalite products in the market."

Eastman has already said it would expand Eastotac and Regalite hydrocarbon resin production 30% in China.
