Expansion Planned for Airflex Emulsion Products

Air Products Polymers will expand production capacity of Airflex vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) emulsions by 65 million wet pounds per year during the next six months through low-cost debottlenecking efforts at its two U.S. manufacturing facilities in Calvert City, KY and South Brunswick, NJ. Air Product Polymers hopes that this increased capacity-for water-based Airflex VAE-will aid in meeting customer needs across a wide range of applications including adhesives, paint, paper and nonwoven products such as wipes and paper towels.

The first phase for extending productivity and capacity will commence this summer, with a second following in the fall.
