Hills, Inc., West Melbourne, FL, and Changyuan Elastan Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Zhangjiagang City, China, have formed joint development in the field of meltspun spandex fiber extrusion equipment. Hills, a leader in multicomponent fiber extrusion technology, and Changyuan, an expert in manufacturing elastic filament equipment, will collectively design, develop, and manufacture machines for the synthetic fiber industry. The co-developed machines will be sold by Hills outside of China under the Hills/CY brand name. A Hills/CY machine will be available for demonstration at Changyuan later this year, according to executives.
