Rayonier has placed Charles Hood in the position of vice president, corporate affairs, reporting to Lee Thomas, chairman, president and CEO. He succeeds Jay Fredericksen who previously announced his plans to retire in September after 30 years with Rayonier. Mr. Hood will have responsibility for government affairs, corporate communications, community relations, media relations and The Rayonier Foundation. Previously, Mr. Hood was with Georgia-Pacific for 23 years and most recently was vice president, government affairs, with responsibility for state and federal government relations and issues management.
