P&G Names Two Vice Chairmen

Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble promoted two presidents to vice chairmen. Susan Arnold was named head of company’s global beauty care business, and Robert McDonald will lead global operations and oversee relationships with retailers.

Neither Ms. Arnold or Mr. McDonald will serve on the board of directors, but both are seen as potential successors to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer A.G. Lafley. Mr. Lafley has been stressing the importance of an orderly succession plan since his predecessor resigned abruptly four years ago.
