Janet Reed has joined Cotton Incorporated in the new position of associate director of Environmental Research, reporting to Kater Hake, vice president of Agricultural Research. At Cotton Incorporated, Ms. Reed will be the focal point for the Environmental Research program and will be charged with setting the record straight on cotton's environmental impact. In doing so, she will assess all phases of cotton production and processing and identify research opportunities that could benefit the bottom line for cotton. She will also provide scientific outreach to retailers and represent the cotton production/manufacturing industry to the public at large.
