Filtration System

November 30, -0001

Polymer equipment manufacturer Gnuess, Matthews, NC, has introduced its improved filtration system, RSFgenius. The fully automatic melt filtration system permits finer filtration under constant processing conditions. Depending on the material, filtration finenesses down to three microns are reportedly possible. The RSFgenius is successfully in operation in technical yarn, textile fiber and filament, staple fiber, nonwovens and spandex manufacturing. Pre-filtration with this system directly upstream of the spinpack considerably increases the spinpack life time and, at the same time, reduces filament breaks.
