New Web Quality Monitoring

The SmartView® Surface Quality Monitoring package allows the operator to always know the overall web quality of the material being produced in real time. SmartView WQM not only provides an evaluation of almost any visual web property but also shows you snapshots of the material as it is being evaluated.
Web Formation Analysis in Real Time
For the first time SmartView with WQM can determine and display true web formation information as the material is being made. The results are continuously reported in terms that are meaningful and useful to the operator. This allows process changes that impact quality to be made before large amounts of off-spec material have been produced.

SmartView WQM Thinks Like You Do!
The system looks at the surface in much the same way that a human does. It looks at an area of the surface and compares that area to what the surface is supposed to look like and what it has looked like in the past. The results are immediate and reported in terms that you currently use and can understand.
For instance, if you currently grade your material by the randomness of fiber distribution and you label rolls Poor, Good, and Best, that is what SmartView WQM will instantly report as you are producing the material. If you grade the material 1 through 1-10 or 1-100 that’s the value that you will see in real time.
