Biax-Fiberfilm

Biax-Fiberfilm Corporation, of Greenville, Wisconsin, is pleased to introduce an ultra high strength meltblown material that will turn the SMS market upside down.  With this new meltblown material, you will be able to make a product in one meltblown step instead of 3 (spunbond, metlblown, spundbond).  Also, properties of the material such as tensile strength, hydro-head, and filtration efficiencies are equivalent to that of SMS products.

The advantages of this new ultra high strength meltblown material include the following: a fraction of the equipment cost, much lower production cost due to only running 1 machine instead of 3, and light basis weight materials to achieve the same performance.

Biax is also pleased to introduce technology that can successfully produce polypropylene fibers with a diameter of less than 1 micron.  With this technology nonwoven manufacturers can produce materials for filtration and barrier properties.  Biax technology is one of the few technologies that has been proven successful in producing submicron fibers.

Biax is also introducing a proprietary process for producing meltblown cellulose fibers.  This process offers a fresh approach to the use of cellulose fibers in the meltblown industry.

There are strong reasons to expect the best from Biax.  Global in scope, Biax recognizes increased industry demands for competitive advantages through new and creative methods and system enhancements.  At Biax, we continually invest in people and equipment to provide innovative products that exceed customer requirements and expectations.
