John Poccia Receives Lifetime Technical Achievement Award

INDA-sponsored award honors long career in nonwovens

John Poccia was the recipient of the INDA Technical Lifetime Achievement Award during the World of Wipes Conference. Since retiring from Johnson & Johnson in 2018, Poccia has worked as an independent consultant for companies in the wipes and absorbent products markets. During his 40-plus year career in nonwovens, Poccia has been involved in more than 30 patents in hygiene, wipes and medical device products.

“It has been phenomenal to work to meet so many unmet needs with new products, efficiency and even safety,” he said in accepting the award and credited his involvement with INDA as key to his success. “Working with INDA really provided me with a lot of connections and a lot of knowledge over the years.”

The INDA Lifetime Technical Achievement Award is presented annually by INDA to an individual with a long and established career in nonwovens with a history of developing proprietary technology that has add to the financial development of at least one company.
