Offers 100% cellulose-based structure

Airlaid manufacturer Glatfelter has developed a 100% cellulose-based wipe that is suitable for a variety of personal care and home care applications including baby wipes, hard surface cleaners, facial masks and fabric softener sheets. The absence of plastic in the substrate allows it to offer a minimal carbon footprint and product disposal options that are less harmful to the environment.

This next generation wipe, which is covalently bonded with 80% pulp and 20% cellulosic fiber, does not clump like conventional wetlace materials because of its 3D-integrated, textile-like fiber network. It also will not lint, snag or scrape even on a rough surface. Glatfelter presented this new technology this week at the World of Wipes (WOW) conference.
