EDANA recognizes former board chairman in advance of retirement

EDANA has awarded Patricia Featherstone with the EDANA Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her dedication to the nonwovens industry during her career with ACE Films over the course of three decades as well as her involvement with EDANA over 15 years including four years as chairman of the board.

Before joining the EDANA board in 2009, Featherstone participated in, and often led, various committees and working groups, helping to provide market intelligence, marketing and communication intelligence to the industry, particularly in the areas of films and laminates for single-use hygiene and medical products.

Representing ACE, Featherstone has been a critical voice defending more demanding standards in the area of medical gowns.

As governor and chair of the EDANA board, Featherstone contributed greatly to devising EDANA's Outreach strategy including the expansion of its Outlook conferences in Asia and Latin America.

"EDANA is delighted to present Tricia with this prestigious award for her continuous support. Tricia's long-term involvement in the association's activities has helped raise the profile of EDANA and thereby also improve the awareness and understanding of the role nonwovens play in our everyday lives including the critical and life-saving benefits they bring in surgery," says Pierre Wiertz, general manager of EDANA.
