Speakers to discuss role of nonwovens in healthcare

On Wednesday, INDEX17 visitors will be able to attend the event’s second “Sector Seminar,” which will be dedicated to Medical Nonwovens. The highlight of the seminar will be Big Picture speaker, Sebastian Probst, a professor of tissue viability and wound care at the University of Applied Sciences in Geneva, Switzerland, whose speech "Health Care is More than Medical Care," will highlight the differences in the decision process between adopting a holistic approach to care versus a medical approach.

This seminar, which will be held from 2-4:45 p.m. in Room S, Hall 4 today, was organized conjunction with market intelligence partners WTiN and will also feature presentations from Parikshit Goswami, associate professor, Director of Research and Innovation, MSc Textiles Programme Leader, Technology Research Area Leader; Dionysia Patrinou, Intelligence Manager/Market Strategist, Advanced Medical Materials, World Textile Information Network (WTiN), who will discuss opportunities in the medical market; Paul Greenhalgh, Director of Industrial Design, Team Consulting, who will speak about a patient centric approach to medical technology development and Bernd Schlesselmann, head of research and development at Freudenberg Performance Materials, who will discuss the future of nonwovens in wound care.
