Established in 1990, Harper Hygienics is a leading manufacturer of cosmetic pads, cosmetic buds and wet wipes in Poland. At its production plant in Minsk Mazowiecki, the company produces its own brands as well as private label products for international retail chains.
Harper Hygienics first entered the wipes market in 2001 with the introduction of baby and makeup removal wipes. Since then, the wet wipes category has become one of its most significant offerings, according to Dmitrij Kostojanskij, CEO of Harper Hygienics S.A. “The decision to enter the wipes market was carefully considered, and the timing was opportune, aligning with the market's evolution. With the highest quality wipes, Harper Hygienics successfully positioned itself as one of the key players in the Polish wipes market,” he says.
Harper Hygienics is also vertically integrated, meaning it has the ability to manufacture nonwoven materials and turn it into the final product. Specifically, the company operates an Arvell line for nonwoven material production.
Harper Hygienics’ main brand is Cleanic, which includes makeup removal pads and wipes, hygienic buds, intimate hygiene wipes, sanitary pads, panty liners and moist toilet tissue. Recently, the brand introduced a new line of makeup removal wipes infused with linen, catering to different skin types. It has also launched innovative intimate wipes containing hemp fibers with antibacterial properties.
Kindii, Harper Hygienics’ brand for baby and infant care, provides a range of wet wipes suitable for use from the first moments of life. These wet wipes are carefully crafted to be gentle on the delicate skin of babies, ensuring they do not cause irritation. For slightly older children, the brand offers the Kindii moist toilet tissue with a pleasant scent. “Notably, we have introduced award-winning infant wet wipes containing linen fibers, making them the first baby wipes on the market infused with linen fibers,” Kostojanskij explains. “The innovative blend of linen fibers and linen oil is designed to soothe irritations, moisturize and regenerate, making it particularly suitable for sensitive skin.”
In the household category, Presto wipes are available in both wet and dry formats in packs of various sizes. Additionally, there are specific lines tailored for different surfaces in the house, including the kitchen, floors, wooden surfaces, shower, windows, toilets, grills and more. The brand also provides a range of universal wipes suitable for various surfaces.
“We are experiencing growth across all our existing categories, with the most notable increase observed in baby wipes,” says Kostojanskij. “This is driven by a rising consumer interest in high-quality products made from natural ingredients. At Harper Hygienics, our primary focus is on sustainability, ensuring that our products are both effective and environmentally friendly.”
Meanwhile, in 2021 Harper Hygienics entered the feminine hygiene market under the Cleanic brand. Introducing a line of period care products was a natural progression for the company, Kostojanskij says. “We viewed it as the next logical step in the evolution of our leading brand. While feminine hygiene products were a new area of expertise for us, our R&D department conducted comprehensive research to carefully plan and develop the Cleanic Naturals Organic Cotton pads.”
Last year the company added to its feminine care lineup with the launch of three product lines for mass distribution, including Cleanic Pure Cotton pads, Cleanic Soft pads and Cleanic Naturals Hemp pads.
“Market research shows that consumers increasingly give preference to products featuring natural ingredients,” says Kostojanskij. “We firmly believe this trend will continue to gain momentum in the future. That is why we consider this an ideal moment to implement and invest in innovative, sustainable solutions like hemp fiber-based products.”
