A process for deforming a multilayer web, the process comprising the steps of a) supplying a first layer of a precursor web, the first layer comprising a first area, a plurality of second areas flanking the first area, and a plurality of third areas flanking the plurality of second areas; b) placing a second layer of the precursor web onto at least the first area and the plurality of second areas of the first layer; c) forming a plurality of first features and a plurality of second features in the precursor web, wherein the plurality of first features are apertures formed in the first area of the precursor web, wherein the plurality of second features are formed in the first and the second areas of the precursor web in a negative Z-direction, d) forming a plurality of third features in the precursor web, wherein the plurality of third features are formed in the plurality of third areas, wherein the plurality of third areas are disposed outboard of the second layer; and wherein the plurality of first features the plurality of second features, and the plurality of third features are formed simultaneously.
